Review: COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

Gentle yet effective exfoliator 

Heard many good reviews about this product online so I decided to try it for myself! 


From the COSRX website: 

“Congested pores, be gone!

Effectively penetrates into the skin and cleans up clogged pores.
Also helps skin to rebuild its moisture shield.”


Some information about the brand itself, COSRX is a fairly new brand that has been slowly gaining popularity over the few years. Some of its more popular products are the Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, Low ph Good Morning Gel Cleanser and the BHA Blackhead Power Liquid which I’ll be reviewing today!

Before I bought this product, I tend to avoid chemical exfoliants as I was afraid they might be rough on my skin, and cause damage especially since my skin is the kind that gets red from toothpaste 😰 I have been using the COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid for more than a week already and never has it once caused irritation on my skin! 

I do know that some people use this product daily or even twice a day, but personally I use it once every 2 or 3 days and I have seen significant results in the size of my pores already. My pores look cleaner and way smaller compared to before. 

The COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is slightly viscous and does not have any smell to it.  This makes it easier to apply just the right amount on your face and prevent any wastage by dripping off 😊 

How to use:

  1. Apply a proper amount evenly, avoiding the eye area.
  2. For daytime use, follow with a sunscreen.

As I have mentioned in my previous blog post on MISSHA Time Revolution Essence, I use the COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid together with the MISSHA Time Revolution Essence to give my face an added moisture layer as a precautionary measure as some reviews online mentioned that it may cause dryness to the skin. 

Also for my toner, I am using the MEDICUBE Zero Pore Pad 2.0  which also helps to reduce pore size as that’s my greatest concern for my skin!

So far for me I did not experience any dryness and I even tried applying it twice a day and still no dryness! Kudos to COSRX for creating such a gentle exfoliator!

so far because it’s just such an amazing product for almost everyone out there. 

On the container: 
This liquid helps to remove oil and deeply cleanses while moisturizing the skin to make the pores appear smaller.

Ingredients: 

Salix alba (willow) bark water, butylene glycol, betaine salicylate, niacinamide, 1, 2-hexanediol, arginine, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, xanthan gum, ethyl hexanediol.
 

Results: 

Before:
 I stopped my skincare routine for 2 weeks as I was busy with school and and this happened to my face! :( my skin was super dry, red and had bumps all over.





After:
 This is the result after 2 weeks of using the COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid.
As you can see, most of the redness has disappeared and my skin feels smooth with no bumps. 




Experience while using the product:

While you may imagine exfoliators to dry up your skin, the COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid has instead reduced the dry spots on my skin and washed out all the bumps in my pores. This is just the effect after 2 weeks of using it once every 2 days. I'm looking forward to see what happens after I finish the bottle :D 
The liquid is also not very flowy hence easy to apply just the right amount needed. 

Overall, I would give the COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid a 10/10! 🎉

I absolutely love this product. I have never seen my pores this small in my entire life until I started using this. Its not even a month yet and the results are already showing. I would definitely buy this product again and probably some other COSRX products too because this Blackhead Power Liquid has left such a strong impact of the brand on me.
